18. iButtons - rider identification.

How do you register RFID / iButtons in the Cartracker portal?

Do you work with driver identification or would you like to work with driver identification? This is of course possible with Cartracker. We support various ways of driver identification, from RFID & iButtons to Pincodes. Adding and linking tags was already a breeze in our portal, but we have now expanded the possibility even further!

In the following steps you put a tag or pass number on your own whitelist. Make sure you go through everything step by step, so you do not make any mistakes. Also make use of the ordered programming tool, when you type in your tag / pass or code you will find it immediately. Just plug it into the USB port, you do not need to install anything!

1. Go to live.cartracker.com and log in
2. Click on settings
3. Select'iButtons'
4. After this, click the orange "Add new iButton" button.
5. Find the rider you want to add to the identification and select it (the outline means you have added the tags)
6. Then select the type(RFID Card, iButton or Keypad)
7. Click in the text field under'number' and place your pass/tag on the programming tool or enter your code on the programming tool - it will automatically appear in the field
8. Then click create and repeat the process for other RFID / iButton numbers
9. Are you ready? Then we push the right data to your devices within 48 hours

Two flavors - Complete as super admin or as user

Note that this instruction is available in two flavors. You can complete this as Super Admin, or as another user. When another user adds tags, the Super Admin gets a notification to give permission to add those passes/tags.

In vehicle details, you can see exactly what tag numbers are associated with this particular vehicle.

Unsubscribing iButtons - Driver identification tags

Has the driver turned in his tag or is the tag out of use? Then you can easily remove it from the vehicle. Go through the following steps:

1. Click on settings in the main menu
2. Select iButtons
3. Locate the tag / iButton or RFID card number and click on the arrow next to the tag number
4. Click edit if you want to change the driver (select driver according to steps above), select remove if you no longer want to use this tag

Remote disable immobilizer / Buzzer

In combination with rider identification, we always have a buzzer and/or immobilizer installed. The superadmin can turn these off remotely, useful if the person does not have their driver identification card with them!

1. Click on the vehicle in the main menu
2. Look up the vehicle by license plate or vehicle name
3. Select vehicle details of the particular vehicle
4. Scroll down until you see FOTA listed - the drop-down menu lists the options you can select
5. Click update to make the change to the blackbox

Note that the buzzer and immobilizer (immobilizer) are linked together. This allows them to be turned off separately or at the same time.
